Is it possible to change the MDM solution used in the future?

Yes. Apple Business Manager allows you to migrate devices from one device management service to another, so you can redesign and move the solution to a different management environment as your organization grows or needs change.

Are Managed Apple Accounts the same as employees' personal Apple accounts?

No. Managed Apple Accounts are accounts managed by an organization for work and administration in a business environment. They can be used to sign in to devices and certain Apple services, but some services have restrictions, so they are not exactly the same as personal Apple accounts.

What happens if employees use their work email address in their personal Apple account?

This is an important question before installation. If an organization verifies and takes over its domain, the personal Apple accounts that use that work domain must either be transferred to the organization, or their email address must be changed. As a result, at the beginning of the installation, it is worth checking how many such accounts exist in the organization.

Can Apple Business Manager integrate with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace?

Yes. Apple Business Manager can be linked to Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, or another identity provider to create and manage user accounts more consistently, and employees can sign in using their existing organization logins.

Is this solution suitable if we buy Apple devices not only from Apple?

Yes. Apple specifies that devices can be assigned to an organization at the time of purchase through Apple, an Apple Authorized Reseller, or an authorized cellular carrier, and some devices can be added later through the Apple Configurator.

Can I add existing Apple devices to Apple Business Manager?

Yes, certain devices that are already in use can be added, even if they were not purchased directly from Apple or an authorized supplier. It is important to know that in this case, the user is subject to a period of 30 days, during which he can release the device from the management of the organization.

Can Apple Business Manager be used without an MDM solution?

Not quite. Apple Business Manager does not replace the device management system by itself. Has full value with an external device management service, with the automatic device recommended, settings and distribution of gadgets.
